Order Requirements, Delivery Options and Charges

POLLET POOL GROUP operate from 2 different warehouse and distribution centres. Hazardous Chemicals, including Bayrol water treatment products, are stored and dispatched from Hacklings Warehouse and distribution centre based in the Cotswolds.

Bayrol, WDT dosing & control, pool equipment such as filters, pumps, pipework, heat pumps and maintenance equipment are stored and distributed from the POLLET POOL GROUP head office in Newbury.

Trade Counter: Customers can also collect goods from the Newbury trade counter.

POLLET POOL GROUP strives to ensure that the methods deployed to despatch hazardous goods to customers, comply with the latest Carriage of Dangerous Goods Regulations. Importantly, POLLET POOL GROUP works closely with a third party Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA), who advises of regulatory changes and communicates information on safe practices. The DGSA also conducts audits to ensure we, the consignors, adhere to appropriate transport regulations concerning packaging, palletising, administration and follow principles of responsible care in respect to contracting haulier services.

  • Free Delivery Threshold A mixed order of chemicals and pool equipment will be eligible for free delivery when the total order value exceeds £1,250 excluding VAT. Please note that the consignment will be treated as 2 orders, delivered from each of the two distribution centres with 2 delivery notes and may not be delivered on the same day.

  • Chemical Orders No carriage charge will be levied on chemical orders with a nett value in excess of £750 excluding V.A.T., when goods are despatched via a standard 3 to 5 working day delivery service from the Hacklings warehouse. For chemical orders under £750 the following carriage charges will apply:

*Next day orders must be received by 2pm. For chemical orders before 1pm. Goods ordered on Friday for next day delivery will be delivered by Monday unless a Saturday delivery is specifically requested. For Saturday deliveries please enquire for a separate carriage quote. Timed deliveries are available. Price upon request and may incur further charges.

  • Environmental Charge Due to the increasing costs of environmental awareness, waste and conformity, we implement an Environmental Charge of £7.25 plus V.A.T. on all orders where chemicals are supplied.

  • Pool Equipment items despatched from Newbury: Orders received in our sales office for ‘Heavy Items’ by 12 noon and all other items by 2pm will normally be despatched the same day. A carriage charge will be levied on all orders where goods are despatched via a standard delivery service.

  • Heavy Items (palletised goods) The rate depends upon the number of pallet spaces and the destination. For a quote please contact us with the relevant postcode and we will get the most competitive price available. ‘Heavy Items’ include Commercial filters, commercial pumps, coping stones, filter media, heat pumps, solar panels, in-ground pool kits and spas.

  • Postage and Packing Charges will be applied to all small carriage orders. Postage and packaging of items under 1kg are subject to a minimum charge of £3.95 plus V.A.T.

Collecting Goods from POLLET POOL GROUP
If you would prefer to collect your order from the Hacklings chemical warehouse in Bourton-on–the Water then please allow 48-hours from placing your order before collecting your goods.
The person collecting chemicals must be trained and certified to ADR standards and/or be a member of either SPATA or BISHTA and had ADR awareness training. A valid membership certificate and ADR awareness certificate must be presented on collection before the goods will be released.
All Pool Equipment ordered from the Newbury warehouse can be collected from the Trade Counter (8.30am to 5pm).

Please be aware that POLLET POOL GROUP cannot be held responsible for goods collected once they have left the premises.

Collection of Empty Plastic Containers
POLLET POOL GROUP are able to collect and dispose of the following empty, cleaned and purged plastic containers that were originally supplied by POLLET POOL GROUP:

An environmental collection charge of £7.25 is applicable to all empty container collections.
A charge of £1.50 per container is applicable. Minimum collection of 12 containers applies.
This service is offered only when placing an order for chemicals.

Please note that the collection of empties may not occur at the same time as making a delivery.
If a collection has to be made without placing a chemical order, an additional collection charge of £47.50 per pallet will be applied (1 – 26 container per pallet).

IMPORTANT NOTE: We can only offer this service if the plastic containers to be collected are empty, cleaned and purged – when the containers are collected you will be requested to sign paperwork stating that the containers are empty, cleaned and purged.

Please notify customer services at the time of ordering the following information:

  1. Name of product containers to be collected.
  2. Number of each type of container to be collected (Min 12).
  3. Total number of containers to be collected.

Disposal of Empty Containers
All customers should be aware that they have a duty of care under The Environmental Protection Act of 1990 to ensure that the disposal of hazardous waste is carried out responsibly. This includes the disposal of empty contaminated chemical containers.

Other Hazardous Waste
POLLET POOL GROUP are not licenced to collect and dispose of hazardous waste. Please contact your local authority who should be able to advise of local licenced companies who can provide this service.

Prices and V.A.T.
Prices listed are subject to VAT and alteration without prior notice.

  • In the case of payment other than by cash, payment should not be deemed to have been made until the proceeds have been collected by the seller’s bank.
  • POLLET POOL GROUP will be entitled to charge a minimum handling fee of £20 plus V.A.T. in all cases where payment by the buyer has not been honoured upon presentation of the cheque or other means of payment by the buyer.
  • When POLLET POOL GROUP has agreed to grant credit, payment must be made by the end of month following month of invoice, unless otherwise agreed in writing and signed by a Director or Manager of POLLET POOL GROUP.
  • Payment is due at the offices of POLLET POOL GROUP free of all charges.
  • If any payments are overdue, an interest on the sum concerned will be payable at 6% over the Bank of England base rate for the time being in force
